Study UK is undergoing a full website re-design, based on insight among its target audience and in consultation with the UK higher education sector. The new site, launching in Spring 2022, will feature a full course search of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at UK higher education institutions. It will also feature a scholarship search.
Ryan Nelson, Director of Cultural Engagement Marketing at the British Council, said: ‘We are delighted to be working with IDP Connect on our new Study UK website. The addition of this course search function will be of real value to both prospective international students and the UK’s higher education institutions. We hope to create a more direct audience journey from our awareness-raising marketing activity through to ultimate enrolments to UK higher education institutions. We look forward to collaborating with IDP Connect on the course and scholarship search and, ultimately, on further understanding the decision-making and application journey of international students.’
With the recent release of 2020-21 HESA data showing that the UK government’s international education strategy target of recruiting 600,000 international students was met a decade early, focus among the UK’s higher education sector is moving towards maintaining these numbers.
Study UK, mentioned in the international education strategy as a vehicle for delivering on its objectives, continues to seek new and improved ways to persuade international students to choose the UK over other international study destinations.
Simon Emmett, CEO of IDP Connect said: “We are pleased to be partnering with the British Council to deliver a comprehensive course search within the new Study UK website. It is essential that the UK can promote the quality and depth of its higher education offering. Our student first approach and our experience providing similar services elsewhere means that we are looking forward to quickly and efficiently delivering additional functionality that supports the UK sector in the increasingly competitive drive to recruit international students.”
