Our first official UK IDP Live pioneer partners are University of York, UWE Bristol, London Metropolitan University, University of Leicester, Edinburgh Napier University, Aston University, University of Plymouth, Loughborough University and University of Nottingham.
In early October we launched IDP Live, our transformative student-centred app that helps prospective international students find their ideal institution and course at the click of a button. Bringing together IDP’s trusted human connections and digital innovation, this ground-breaking service is helping institutions diversify their international portfolios and recruit high quality international students faster than ever before.
Since embarking on a roadshow in October to introduce IDP Live to institutions around the UK, we are excited to announce our first official IDP Live partners in the UK:
These UK pioneers, including 2 Russell Group institutions, come from all over the country with locations ranging from seaside cities and rural towns to the heart of London. Institutions have signed up to IDP Live for a variety of reasons, including increasing enrolments of international students, improving efficiency and diversifying their international student bodies.
Danielle Fitzgerald, Director of the Future Student Office at the University of Leicester, believes that IDP Live will help them achieve their diversification targets. She says: “We have over-reliance on certain markets, and we really see IDP Live as one of the key tools to help with our diversification strategy.”
Rob Reeves, Regional Manager, South Asia of Loughborough University, says of IDP Live: “To our knowledge, this is a unique initiative not offered by any other partner currently and puts the student’s needs first. From a university perspective, this is very likely to help attract good quality student applicants who are keen to study with us, which will then result in increased conversion.”
IDP Live was first piloted in Australia where we currently have 14 IDP Live partners, including the University of South Australia, RMIT and Macquarie University. The app enables students to be fast-tracked through to receiving an offer, prior to submitting their applications. This means that students can find the right courses and institutions faster and more efficiently. Partners therefore commit to agreements that confirm they will turn verified offers-in-principle from applications into offers within a certain number of working days, thereby substantially fast-tracking the application process.
Rishen Shekhar, Deputy Director of International Business Development at the University of South Australia, said of IDP Live’s Offer in Principle (OiP) capabilities: “OiP allows us to track leads from the point of enquiry all the way to enrolment. This means we can start to customise campaigns and approaches in different markets to make sure we are attracting the right students at the right time.” Read the full interview with the University of South Australia here.
IDP Live is now live in over 100 global IDP offices across 15 countries, which means that our education counsellors can support more students in person and continue to help institutions to recruit highly qualified students from a wide range of student markets.
