We are delighted to announce the shortlisted finalists of the Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCA) 2022, an annual celebration hosted by IDP Connect in celebration of excellence within the higher education sector. Over the last few months, our WUSCA team has visited campuses around the UK to collect reviews submitted by students themselves, alongside reviews submitted online via the Whatuni.com website. Over 30,000 verified student reviews have been submitted across our categories to determine this year’s coveted WUSCA shortlist.
The student-led approach of review collection means that shortlisted universities are uniquely recognised by students for delivering an exceptional experience. It’s also the only annual awards ceremony solely based on the views of current students studying in the UK, allowing prospective students to access honest, unbiased data to make the right choices about their future.
The WUSCA 2022 categories are:
University of the Year
Career Prospects
Lecturers and Teaching Quality
Students' Union
Halls and Student Accommodation
Facilities
Student Life
Student Support, sponsored by Prompt
Postgraduate, sponsored by Postgraduate Search
International
Small or Specialist, sponsored by HAVAS Education
Outreach & Widening Participation Submission Award
Institutions shortlisted in the University of the Year, Small or Specialist, Postgraduate and Submission Award categories are in the running to win £10,000 in student bursaries to be awarded to widening-access students to improve their education experiences.
Simon Emmett, CEO of IDP Connect, says: "Being shortlisted for one of our Whatuni Student Choice Awards is exceptional. To be recognised so highly by your students is the pinnacle of excellence. Institutions should be proud of making it to this stage in the process and should celebrate the experience they’ve delivered for their students over the past 12 months.”
This year’s Whatuni Student Choice Awards winners will be announced on Tuesday, 24th May 2022, at a black-tie awards dinner at the East Wintergarden, London.
