Prashant is Director Business Development at Seneca, where he leads student recruitment, partnerships and business development activities from South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. Seneca is one of the largest post-secondary institutions in Canada, with over 15,000 international students from 150 countries, 30,000 full-time and 60,000 part-time registrants. With a team of Business Development Managers and Project Managers, Prashant manages business relationships with stakeholders in International Education.
Prashant began his career in international education in 2006, by opening the first overseas office for Vancouver Island University in New Delhi, India. In his previous assignments, Prashant has worked at the University of California Riverside and New York Institute of Technology. In his free time, he volunteers with several non-profit and bipartisan organizations. He has participated in Trade Missions led by the Government of Canada (2017 & 2018), the Ontario Government (2015 & 2019) and the Government of British Columbia (2008), resulting in the signing of several MOUs in the field of Entrepreneurship, Education and Skill Development.
He is a frequent speaker on the Indian Education System, Canadian Education, Contribution of International Education in Canadian Society, Ontario College System and has participated in international conferences and panel discussions on Entrepreneurship and Skills Development.
Prashant holds a Bachelor in Electronics Engineering from D.Y. Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, an MBA from University of Hertfordshire, UK, Post Degree Diploma in Business Studies from Vancouver Island University, Canada, Certificate in Immigration Law, Policy and Procedures from the University of British Columbia and Canadian Bureau of International Education. He is a Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, Canada.
