About Gwion Sims

Gwion is Deputy Director, International at the University of York where he leads on the development and delivery of international recruitment and partnership strategy. He has 15 years’ experience of student recruitment, admissions, and marketing in HE and currently leads a team of 35 staff spanning five global locations. Gwion has actively recruited and developed partnerships in East Asia, South Asia, West Africa, and Southeast Asia and has occupied a number of management level positions at the universities of York and Leeds. He is a champion of continuous innovation in international education practices to deliver a high-quality student experience in a constantly changing world.
